Constructed for entertainment value and to demonstrate the possibilities of laser cutting and simple materials at Makerlabs during the 2024 Strathcona Blocks Party.

Standing around 4.5’ tall the cake utilises a number of cardboard construction techniques throughout its 3 different layers - a particular challenge was creating the cherries in whipped cream features which required a number of test cuts until I was finally able to acheive a sphere shape that I was satisfied with.

Designed and fabricated by myself from laser cut reclaimed cardboard.
